Exports & International Trade

Your Navigators in Cross-Border Business.

The Landscape

Taking your business global brings you under the scrutiny of multiple regulators — RBI (FEMA), Customs, and Transfer Pricing authorities. Currency fluctuations and complex export incentives add to the volatility.

Key Challenges

Forex Compliance

Handling EDPMS and IDPMS to prevent RBI caution-listing from export realisation delays.

Incentive Maximisation

Ensuring you are not leaving money on the table with RoDTEP or Duty Drawback schemes.

Transfer Pricing

Justifying the pricing of goods and services sold to your own foreign subsidiaries at arm's length.

What We Offer

DGFT Advisory

Management of Advance Authorisation and IEC updates for import-export code holders.

Transfer Pricing Audits

Form 3CEB filing and benchmarking studies for international transactions.

FEMA Advisory

Handling FDI reporting (FC-GPR) and Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) compliance.

RoDTEP Advisory

Ensuring correct HSN code mapping and maximising eligible export incentives.

Who this is for

Exporters and international traders come to us when a transaction crosses a border and brings a second regulator into the room. That includes manufacturers exporting directly, merchant exporters, service exporters, and Indian groups with a subsidiary or branch abroad.

We cover the filings that follow the shipping bill, the realisation that follows the invoice, and the transfer pricing file that has to explain the price between related parties.

Export compliance is a chain: shipping bill, invoice, bank realisation, refund and incentive. One missing link slows the whole chain, so we work on the sequence rather than on a single filing.

How we work with Exports & International Trade businesses

  1. Export readiness review

We check the IEC, registrations, incentive eligibility and the documentation flow from order to realisation.

  2. Incentive and refund claims

RoDTEP, duty drawback and GST refunds are mapped to the right shipping bills and reconciled to the ledger before filing.

  3. FEMA compliance

EDPMS, IDPMS, FC-GPR and ODI filings are tracked to their deadlines, with the bank evidence kept on file.

  4. Transfer pricing

Related-party transactions are benchmarked, documented and reported in Form 3CEB where required.

The SCORE Advantage

We helped a textile exporter unlock ₹1.2 Crores in working capital by correcting their HSN code mapping under the RoDTEP scheme.

What you can expect

A clean export file links every shipping bill to an invoice, a bank realisation and the incentive claimed. That is what makes a refund or an assessment straightforward, and what keeps a caution listing from blocking future shipments. The same reconciliation supports the refund, the incentive claim and the transfer pricing file, so one clean set of records does three jobs.

Frequently asked questions

What is RoDTEP and how is it claimed?

RoDTEP refunds a portion of the taxes and duties embedded in exported goods, at rates notified by HSN code. The claim is made through the customs system and must match the shipping bill and the export ledger. The claim is checked against the shipping bill and the export ledger before it is filed.

How do we avoid an RBI caution listing?

Realisation must be reported through EDPMS within the prescribed period, or the shipment must be regularised with the bank. We track ageing, follow up on delayed payments and prepare the evidence if an extension is needed. The bank statement and the shipping documents are the evidence that closes the entry.

When is transfer pricing documentation required?

Documentation is required for international transactions with related parties above the prescribed threshold, and Form 3CEB is filed with the return. The benchmark and the agreement should be in place before the year end. The documentation should be ready before the return is filed, not after a notice arrives.

Can you recover a stuck GST refund?

Yes. We review the deficiency memo, reconcile the shipping bills and returns, and file the reply with the evidence. Where needed, we represent the case before the officer and follow the refund through to the sanction. The reconciliation between shipping bills, GSTR-1 and the refund statement is the core of the reply.

What is the difference between EDPMS and IDPMS?

EDPMS tracks export realisations and IDPMS tracks import payments, both through the authorised dealer bank. Entries must be closed with the correct documents, or they surface later as a compliance issue. An open entry can block future shipments and incentive claims, so ageing should be reviewed monthly.

Do you help with an overseas subsidiary?

Yes. We coordinate the ODI filing, the valuation and the accounting structure with your legal advisers, and we review the consolidation and related-party reporting once the entity is live. The first year accounts and the related-party disclosures need to be planned before the entity starts trading.

Do you handle DGFT authorisations?

Yes. We manage Advance Authorisation, EPCG and IEC updates, including the redemption and the bond closure. The documentation is tracked so an authorisation does not lapse while goods are still being shipped. The licence conditions are tracked until the obligation is discharged.

How do you treat export incentives in the accounts?

The incentive is recognised when the entitlement is established and the amount can be measured, with the supporting shipping bills on file. The treatment is disclosed and reconciled to the claim filed. The accounting policy is applied consistently each year.

Do you help with an export invoice dispute?

Yes. We review the contract, the invoice and the shipping documents, identify where the buyer and the records disagree, and prepare the position for the bank or the insurer. Prevention is cheaper, so we also review the invoice template. The review is usually completed within a week.
